Greetings,
Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards and informs you that it has received the letter from the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (44103581) and the date (6/9/1444 AH), in which reference is made to the letter of the General Authority for Transport No. (1/44/7556) and the date (22/8/1444 AH). This includes the first part of the technical regulations for tanks, which are concerned with tanks for transporting petroleum products, and Saudi Standard Specification No. (SASO-2288) (road vehicles - trucks and trailers that are loaded from the bottom), Which included that work with tanks made of iron according to this specification will be stopped by the end of the year 2020 AD. It must be replaced with tanks made of aluminum, and where the application date specified above has been postponed based on the findings of the committee formed between the General Authority for Transport and the Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization.
Accordingly, the federation would like to take note of the committee above’s intention to hold a virtual workshop to take the views of those concerned in the sector regarding the replacement plan, on Thursday (8/9/1444 AH) corresponding to (30/3/2023 AD) at one o’clock in the afternoon.
Therefore, the federation hopes that the concerned committee, as well as the concerned investors who are specialized in the activities of transporting petroleum products, participate in the workshop via the quick response (QR) code below.
